Que signifie EWZ ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

L'abr\u00e9viation EWZ signifie \"bureau central des immigr\u00e9s\". Dans le contexte de sa cr\u00e9ation, l'EWZ est un service de collecte du Office central de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du Reich<\/a>Elle \u00e9tait responsable du recensement et de la naturalisation des \"Volksdeutsche\". Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 en octobre 1939 et son premier si\u00e8ge \u00e9tait \u00e0 Gotenhafen. D\u00e8s novembre 1939, le service fut transf\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 Poznan, puis au printemps 1940 \u00e0 Berlin. Enfin, le si\u00e8ge principal fut transf\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 Lodz (plus tard Litzmannstadt) \u00e0 l'automne 1940.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des \"commissions volantes\", l'EWZ enregistrait les personnes sur place et organisait ensuite le d\u00e9placement des hommes, des animaux et du mat\u00e9riel en collaboration avec le Volksdeutsche Mittelstelle. Les hommes, leurs bagages et leur b\u00e9tail devaient soit marcher en convoi jusqu'\u00e0 des points de rassemblement pr\u00e9cis, soit \u00eatre transport\u00e9s en bus et en train jusqu'\u00e0 ces points. Outre la logistique, l'EWZ se chargeait \u00e9galement du processus de naturalisation et installait les personnes dans l'\"Altreich\" ou l'\"Ost\" par le biais de \"d\u00e9cisions d'approche\". Pendant la relocalisation, les personnes \u00e9taient en outre soumises \u00e0 un processus de s\u00e9lection effectu\u00e9 par des m\u00e9decins SS. Ils d\u00e9cidaient selon des crit\u00e8res \"raciaux\" si une famille pouvait \u00eatre transf\u00e9r\u00e9e ou non.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le \"Bureau central des immigrants de Litzmannstadt\" poss\u00e8de son propre fonds aux Archives f\u00e9d\u00e9rales de Berlin-Lichterfelde sous la cote R 69 et comprend plus de 9.380 dossiers (\u00e9tat 2009). On y trouve principalement la planification, l'organisation et l'ex\u00e9cution du transfert de population. Il s'agit entre autres de documents administratifs tels que des listes de lieux, des rapports sur l'histoire historique et actuelle de l'implantation, des listes de transport pour les diff\u00e9rentes zones de relocalisation et des listes de biens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de l'EWZ, Heinrich Himmler (1900 - 1945) fut charg\u00e9 de sa mise en \u0153uvre le 7 octobre 1939 par \"d\u00e9cret du F\u00fchrer\" et nomm\u00e9 \"Reichskommissar f\u00fcr die Festigung Deutschen Volkstums\" (RKF). Hitler a \u00e9galement confi\u00e9 \u00e0 Himmler les t\u00e2ches du \"Volksdeutsche Mittelstelle\", charg\u00e9 depuis 1936 du soutien politique et financier des \"Volksdeutschen\" (VoMi).
